Harry Potter started out as an idea in J.K Rowlings head. She then started to write the harry potter story as a magical series of seven fantasy novels. As a British writer she probably never realised her wizard stories would end up being such a phenomenon and even harry potter collectables would take off to such a magical extent.
J.K Rowlings original books follow the story of Harry Potter, an adventurous adolescent wizard who encounters all manner of magical allies and foes. Harrypotter retains several friends throughout the novels including ginger Ron Weasley and a pedantic (mudblood) Hermione Granger who act as his co-stars in creating the Harry Potter series.
The story follows the young wizard Harry Potter at his school of witchcraft and wizardry (Hogwarts), however HarryPotter (sometimes abbreviated to HP) travels extensively with his witch and wizard friends to places with wonderful names like the screaming shack. The original harry potter books tell the story in fantastic multi-coloured words that improve a young witch or wizards magical vocabulary. The Harry Potter books then became films when J.K.Rowling agreed to sell the story to a film studio.
The Harry Potter Films (Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows) have created a whole host of characters to be made into harry potter merchandise and memorabilia. So much so that harry potter collectables and Hogwarts collectables are now as commonplace as other fantasy film memorabilia. For example the evil Lord Voldemort who murdered the leading stars family has been reproduced in Lord Voldemort models, and you can even by a replica of his wand!
