Retro Collectables

        Often chosen by the crazy cats that hang out in jazz bars and the kitch living areas, retro collectables vary hugely and typically all come from the hippy generation in the years surrounding the 1960's.

        Retro is a term which could be used to incorporate a whole world of collectables, from retro televisions to retro wallpaper - retro clothing to retro furniture. Often retro collectables have far out designs such as the world famous round television, a contrast to the typically boxlike traditional televisions available. In essence this is the way of the 60's - be different, stand out - do things differently.

        But retro isn't all about the 1960's, its a term that can also mean dated or old fashioned, in a good way. Cool people wear retro clothes. Retro even extends to a type of hair cut or film - Austin powers for example is a prime example of a film designed to appear retro, with the film set, music, hairstyles, cars and even costumes all styled to be retro.
